  4. Nandini

    In the above query which I had sent originaldata is not equal to 0 and sampledata is not equal to 0, but it printed as originaldata0 and sampledata0, please consider this correction.

  5. Nandini

    Hi

    select count(*) from sampletable where originaldata0 and originaldata is not null and sampledata0 and sampledata is not null and (originaldata/sampledata)>=1.

    In ‘sampletable’ I have these 2 columns where those column contains ‘Negative value,’ Null values’ and 0. I am getting divide by zero error.
    could you please help me out with this, how to replace or avoid this error so that I will get expected results and the datatype of those columns are ‘decimal’.

    CREATE SET TABLE edwDB.abc ,FALLBACK ,
    NO BEFORE JOURNAL,
    NO AFTER JOURNAL,
    CHECKSUM = DEFAULT

    Can someone explain what it means by NO BEFORE JOURNAL, NO AFTER JOURNAL and CHECKSUM = DEFAULT?

    1. admin

      NO BEFORE JOURNAL stands for – we are not defining any permanent journal( which is a data protection feature) for before images of data.
      NO AFTER JOURNAL stands for – we are not defining any permanent journal for after images of data.
      CHECKSUM = DEFAULT – it is a way of checking data integrity between DISK input and output, that whatever data was written in DISK drive, same data we are retrieving back. DEFAULT in CHECKSUM stands for default setting whatever is defined in DBCS control utility.
